  A nightmare to deal with. I hope someone who can afford to sues them just like what happened with Fannie Mae.

  I have not one good thing to say about Iowa Student Loan. They have terrible customer service and are not willing to help their customers in any way. I got laid off in 2009 and called to ask for a deferrment or some kind of lower payment until I got back on my feet. They said there was nothing they would do, even though I had zero income. They told me that if I didn't pay my $483 paym,ent, they would just go after my parents for it. Horrible experience. I wish someone had warned me about them before I went to school.

  It is an utter nightmare to deal with this institution. I feel like every time I talk to someone I hang up feeling like I know less than when I started. The whole ordeal has been extremely demoralizing.

  Though I wish I never had to take out student loans, I always experienced good customer service with this company. No complaints. Easy to use web system for making payments.
